The contact owns a 2001 Mercury Grand Marquis. While driving 30 mph, the brakes made a squealing sound and locked when the pedal was depressed. The failure caused the contact to rear end the preceding vehicle. The air bags failed to deploy. There were no injuries. A police report was filed. The vehicle has not been diagnosed by the dealer. The current and failure mileages were 50,000.

TL - the vehicle was a 2001 Mercury Grand Marquis. While driving the gas pedal became stuck. The vehicle then side swiped two other vehicles. The vehicle went off the road and hit a tree. The passenger side front was damaged. The air bags did not deploy. The failure mileage was 25,000. The passenger and driver sustained injuries. The vehicle was towed. Pictures were taken, and a police report was filed.

Consumer was involved in a frontal accident. The driver side air bad did not deploy but the passenger side air bag inflated. The right air bag was replaced. The seat belt left bad bruises across the chest of consumer. Going 30 to 35 mph, consumer was thrown into the steering wheel. A new seat belt was installed on the drivers side and is operating normally.

Consumer was involved in a collision while driving 35mph, the passenger air bag deployed, however the driver air bag did not, consumer was injured and had to miss 47 days of work, Ford sen consumer a refusal of liability stating that there was not enough impact force to trigger air bag deployment, this vehicle only had 190 miles at time of incident, however consumer no longer feels safe with it, dealer replaced the control module, no representatives ever came from Ford to inspect vehicle, two recalls, 00V27 and 00V412, deal with air bag problems.
