Usually extreme heat/cold can be factor in part failure. Outside temp was 110 degrees on a 800 mile trip, when stopped for a refuel I noticed a rattling noise outside, it was my car. When the cooling fan was trying to operate it made an awful noise. In the mean time the engine temp. continued to rise. I made it to a Ford dealer in Hayes,Kansas. They were very nice and were able to get a new unit from NAPA.
