The contact owns a 2007 Mercury Grand Marquis. The contact stated that while driving approximately 50 mph the power steering failed to function. The owner stated that he felt "stiffness" in the steering wheel making the vehicle hard to steer. He took the vehicle to a local repair shop and replaced the power steering pressure switch, and added power steering fluid. The repairs have corrected the failure. The failure mileage was 16,819. The current mileage at the time of the complaint was 17,400. Updated 10/13/10. Updated 10/19/10
