The contact owns a 2010 Mercury Grand Marquis. While driving approximately 3 mph the contact heard a loud thumping sound coming from the rear end of the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to three dealers for diagnostic testing. The technicians were unable to duplicate the failure. The last dealer the vehicle was taken to stated the shocks should be replaced with heavy duty shocks. The vehicle was not repaired because the part was not available.
