2011 Mercury Grand Marquis. Consumer writes in regards to problems with brake pedal. The consumer stated since he purchased the vehicle, he noticed a great deal of free brake pedal travel and nearly had an accident twice. The consumer stated he hit the brake and accelerator pedal simultaneously. The dealer informed the consumer there was no adjustment for the pedal travel. The consumer stated the specific problem occurred, when the brake pedal was fully depressed and it was at the same level from the floor as the accelerator.
