Driver side airbag deployment malfunction by a minor bump wreck to car in front of my daughter. 2005 Mercury Mariner no damage to our car OR car she bumped into. They weren't gonna call police & report but an officer stopped & was shocked at airbag deployed.
My daughter has bad burn on her arm not from force/impact of airbag but from HOT HEAT she felt. Smoke filled the car and she had to look to right to safely pull over but barely could see due to all smoke in car. I thought she was burnt from the force or impact of it. The police officer on the scene said it was a bad malfunction and SHOULD NOT HAVE deployed at all. Seat belt also broke on driver side & none covered under warranty. Can a Mercury dealership fix and cover cost or lawsuit I can file?
