problem #1

Montego Primer AWG V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 84,000 miles

This is the Second Alternator and battery I have had to replace within 3,000 miles (after the 1st time I replaced the defective Alternator)... I am now informed by the Ford Dealership that the cause of the problem is a short somewhere in the wiring system. They are Charging me $117/Hr to "Find" the problem with no idea where the short is. I checked on line, I am not the first person to complain. Dealership offers no financial help (my 100K mile warrantee, which I purchased, expired in 2014).

I called Ford's consumer hot line, basically no help other than they will enter a complaint.

I have maintained this car per Ford specifications.

You would think, for would have an idea where the problem lies and offer their dealerships suggested solutions.
