Mountaineer Premier V8

  • Automatic transmission
  • 100,000 miles

I had the front differential suddenly go out. Took the vehicle to my local garage they replaced the differential. Got the vehicle back and 3 days later same problem occurred. Once again we replaced the differential under warranty this time.

I got the car back on Friday April 27, 2018. Drove the vehicle home and went into town ( less then 3 miles) brought the vehicle home parked it and has not needed to move, today May 2, 2018 my wife takes the vehicle to work, half way there the vehicle begins shaking violently and she damn near looses control of the vehicle. She left it along side the road and called me home from work to go get the vehicle. I get to the vehicle and start driving it back and get up to 40mph and damn near wreck the vehicle due to a violent shake and wobble for better terms. I thought the vehicle was going to tip over!! I managed to get the vehicle back to the garage and the mechanic went for a ride with me to diagnose the issue, the issue was so bad we went a few blocks and returned to the shop. The mechanic will get it up on a hoist tomorrow to see what the cause is now.

Once I have found out the cause I will update this post.

Mountaineer Premere V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 99,000 miles

This problem was prior to my Transmission problem and also was an inconvenience because the start of this issue happened on the way with my family to vacation. All the fluid in front diff. heated up and blew out on way to vacation and I had to stop at garage and delay our trip by about 6 hours while a mechanic put a new gasket on front diff. and filled with fluid to get me there and back and then it happened again. This cost me another 400.00 so now a 61/2old year vehicle and about $4,000 dollar spent in a month and this is where I am. Ford stinks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
