The contact owns a 2005 Mercury Mountaineer. The contact stated that there was a heating failure and an abnormal noise emitted from the heating unit when activated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where the heat temperature actuator was replaced however, the failure recurred. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The vehicle was not further repaired. The failure mileage was 66,105 and the current mileage was 98,000. Updated 3/5/14
