I was told the wiring harness on my 1995 Mercury Mystique has failed. The car only has 72,000 miles. It started with the traction control and ABS systems failing. It has now spread to the engine and transmission. The car is now undrivable. My Ford dealer told me this failure is becoming a problem on the Ford Contour/Mercury Mystique models. Is there any recourse I can take?

While driving vehicle would not pick up speed. Later, it would kick in, and suddenly accelerate. Took to transmission mechanic, and was informed not transmission. Took to another mechanic, and was informed it was timing belt, and then later not timing belt, it was head gasket which was warped. Engine was replaced. Then vehicle not able to be started right away. Spark plugs had blown out. Currently, mechanic thinks it was electrical system.
