I have a 1995 Mercury Sable that has a bad head gasket. I was told by my mechanic that there was a recall by Ford, but after calling and leaving messages, I am unable to confirm this. Please advise. Thank you! I am also listing numerous problems that have occurred with the suspension and brakes in the last year.

The front driver side strut spring broke while the car was parked. I had the car towed to be fixed. When the mechanic inspected the other spring 2 of them were cracked and in need of replacement. The car isn't driven hard. It is driven 40 miles a day five days a week.
