The contact owns a 2000 Mercury Sable. The contact depressed the brake pedal, but the vehicle continued to accelerate. In addition, the RPM's increased. The manufacturer stated that her VIN was not included in NHTSA campaign id number 02V266000 (service brakes, hydraulic:pedals and linkages). The contact would be responsible for the repair costs. The vehicle has not been repaired. The current and failure mileages were 120,000.

- the contact owns a 2000 Mercury Sable, and she was having a problem with the oil pan leaking. The contact stated that there was a technical service bulletin on this failure. The contact had this repaired in April 2004, and it still did not work properly. She had it repaired again shortly after April 2004 and it still did not work properly. The oil pan leak was discovered because it was visible in the driveway.

While driving vehicle stalled. Consumer was unable to restart vehicle, and had it towed to the dealer. Mechanic advised consumer that the vehicle was placed on diagnostic machine, no codes were reported. Also, mechanic informed consumer that the problem could not be duplicated.

Since purchasing vehicle in 05-01, the low coolant light has lit up on 4 separate occasions. Also, the car emits an odor which I have read to be a complaint of many Sable owners. Its worth looking in to because of the many complaints.
