I bought my Sable assuming that there was no rust under the rocker panels. It turns out that actually the rocker panels have a plastic shield that salt likes to get stuck in but in a quick glance under the vehicle can't find the rust. Before you buy a Sable that has potentially been exposed to salt or other corrosive materials, always stick your head all the way under the car and poke around with your fingers and make absolutely sure you know how much rust is on the rocker panels
