I am trying to determine whether it is the transmission or some other problem. I will be driving along and the car will seem to sputter. I have found that if I shift it into neutral and rev the engine a little once or twice then shift it back into drive it goes back to running normal. My mechanic tells me it is the transmission's synchronizing gear.
Also the car's speedometer, odometer, gas gauge and other dash gauges do not seem to be accurate. I am wondering if it is just the electronic modular as it has the electronic ignition or at least an electronic something that runs the ignition system.
So this is less of a complaint and more of a "Does anyone know or have an idea of what's going on with my 2002 Mercury Villager Estate Mini-van" inquiry. My name is William (Bill) Kern e-mail: billville38@yahoo.com or hersey1938@gmail.com, cell: (989) 392-3884 or 2921 E. Zurich Drive, Bay City, MI 48706 any help or ideas will be greatly appreciated.
