Bought the car new in 2010 and even got the extended warranty. Transmission failed after almost six years and had it taken to Mini dealership where they contacted the extended warranty and without informing of the fact they were replacing transmission with a used one that would not be covered by any warranty, not even the extended warranty which costs a lot, and after 60 days if something went wrong there would be nothing a warranty could help with. After a little over a year the used transmission failed and that was when it was discovered that nothing could be done under either warranty.
