The transmission stick some time is stay on P and hard to move it, the key device is not released from the key slot, and dashboard light lit. After dealer inspected they claim liquid got some kind of module under the center console and got wet, a 1400 repair not cover by dealer, they claim it was my fault to let liquid drain.
Poor design I say, 2 cap holder are located right on that location, how can you prevent accidental liquid get into? any attempt to avoid hitting a person or obstruction will force you to take action, what about carwash when they clean the center console, they alway use some kind of cleaning spray, what about the sweet from the cool drinks?
if they think that module is so important not to get it wet, then protect it, or move it it or place it where no accidental liquid can touch it.
