I put drivers window down, then when I try to put up, it goes up and then down about five inches. It really has a mind of its own. After multiple tries and engine shut off and restarted and multiple tries with same problem, I can get it to stay up. I just can't lower window for air while driving and expect it to close and stay closed while driving so I leave it alone. I tried the five second thing....but window keeps on going up and down.
28k miles and a problem like this. So sad.....I know the motor is a stepper motor and has limit switches....upper and lower. To me, it sounds as if it is the software.
I have read so many forums and every person I know who owns a Mini, same problem along the way of ownership.
Windows do not auto down with entry into vehicle.
