Pulled off the interstate after driving approximately two hours to get food. As I was pulling into a supermarket (2 miles off the highway) I smelled smoke. As I turned the corner I saw smoke coming from the hood. I had two options for parking spots so I took one that had only a single car next to it. I shut off the car and the cabin was filling with black smoke. I stepped out of the car, grabbed my jacket and backpack and somebody asked me if I needed help. Somebody else reported they saw fire coming from under the hood. I called 911, two minutes later the entire car was engulfed. The car was a total loss.
