Working on a weekend, I was heading home and stopped to fill up the tank. When I went to restart the car, the starter clicked once, and that was it. I think the solenoid, which is part of the starter, died. After that, the starter would not do anything. Luckily, I have a manual transmission and could "jump start" the engine, but it meant parking on an incline each time I shut off the engine. Now I'm trying to find out what this repair will cost me. This is the second "component" repair in 3 months (replaced the water pump recently). With under 60,000 miles, I'm thinking it's time to sell before more goes wrong.
