Back tailgate window switch and back tailgate door latch/switch/handles of early 2004 Mitsubishi Endeavors just fail with no warning and neither can be opened with or without key fob. After some searching I noticed on the internet that this is a common problem. This makes it not possible to access the spare tire, or in case of accident the rescue persons cannot access the car from the back door or window. I understand this has been an ongoing problem with the early 2004 models. I had to pay close to $400 to repair this.

Rolling down the rear windows causes an air vibration that is so loud and pulsing that it hurts your ears. Opening all the windows helps a little, but is still unacceptable. Opening just the rear windows is extremely painful. This problem has been noted by many Mitsubishi Endeavor owners. This is not the type of issue that can be identified, prior to purchasing the vehicle, when one buys the vehicle in the winter. Why would you ever roll the rear windows down? it is expected that you should be able to do so, without serious discomfort.

While driving with the windows rolled down at 40 mph the wind causes discomfort to ears and head. The right rear window created a loud thump and or vibrating noise.
