Upon reversing from a parking spot my gear shift became free floating. I was unable to put the car into drive, or park. I had to have the car towed. I was told by the dealership that the transmission linkage cable broke. It took 3 days to fix. They had to pull out the dash. My car only had 63,000 mile on it, but was over warranty by 3,000 miles. The cost to repair was over $500.
