On my 2000 Mitsubishi Galant went head on into a rock wall and the airbags didn't inflate at all this a serious safety matter and I want an answer.

Consumer was involved in an accident. Consumers head went into the windshield and cracked the glass. This happened because the belt restraint did not sufficiently hold consumer and the air bags did not deploy. Consumer suffered a concussion as a result of the accident. After contacting Mitsubishi's claims service, they found nothing wrong with the seat belts or the air bags.

Consumer was driving at approximately 30 mph and rearended another vehicle after sliding due to dirt on road. Dual airbags did not deploy. Front passenger sustained minor injuries. Consumer contacted manufacturer, but was not given explanation.

This vehicle was involved in a front end collision causing $6500 in damages. Both air bags failed to deploy. I was told by the dealership manager that nothing could be done about the problem. I refused to make further payment on the vehicle, and voluntarily surrendered same to Mitsubishi motors credit of America, po box 6044, cypress, ca 90630-6044. All parties were notified of the dangerous condition of the vehicle, yet on June 12, 2001, the vehicle was irresponsibly sold by mitsubushi credit for $9,100. Whoever now owns the vehicle is in grave danger to the driver and passenger should a collision occur.
