Heater not working in 2002 Mitsubishi Galant.

I purchased my vehicle used from a dealership here locally, and have had problems with it ever since I bought it in late may of 2007, my brakes have started to squeak, I overheated due to either a faulty water pump and/or thermostat, and I have noticed that the steering pulled slightly to the right, and I put new tires on it and it was aligned before purchased. The dealership I bought it from may only be able to run a diagnostics on it, and might not have the tools to fix it. The nearest Mitsubishi dealership is 180 miles away. Warranty covers water pump and a rental of up to $35 a day, but in order to get a rental, I have to get a diagnostics done to make sure it is a covered component under my warrany I won't be able to get a diagnostics ran for at least several days, leaving me without a vehicle. Dealership refused to loan a car off of the lot.

On my 2002 Mitsubishi Galant with the 3.0 liter engine, the heat occasionally fails to provide warm air. The fan works, the car is at a normal running temperature, and all hoses are warm. The heater control motor is failing. The part is cheap but you have to remove most of the dash board to replace it. The dealer charges an unusually large amount to fix it, anywhere from $300 - $600.

Mitsubishi car is a 2002. I am getting no heat in my car and it seems as though there are many other people who aren't getting any heat as well. There has to be a recall or something for this...because my car is fairly new (only a couple of years old).

The contact stated car has been stalling for several years. When she took vehicle to the dealer, they told her the problem emerged because of low maintenance on the car. She tool vehicle for service, but not to the dealer because it was too expensive. Since 3-2003 water leaked into the car. Water build up inside of the car from the air conditioner. Also, had electrical problems. When the water accumulated in the car it will lock on its own. The air conditioner will not come on sometimes. There was mold in the car because of the water. The car seat was soaked from the water. On 9-3-05, after taking the car to the dealership, she picked it up and the water built up in the car again.

Airconditioning leaks from beneath glove compartment. Drained twice but company will not repair if there is the presence of any outside material such as a leaf, a piece of debris that they claim is in the system. Dealer repair stated that there is something in the body that is allowing debris to get in and when consumer indicated that was a car defect dealer said that there was nothing they could do. Therefore, defect in body caused problem with cooling system and neither is covered by warranty. Consumer is actively seeking remedy for this problem. Car handles like garbage. Tires have been replaced, brakes, alignment done twice and the car pulled to the right still. After brakes were done car actually pulled more to left. The car stinks. Steering said to have no problem yet see above. The car stinks.
