The black paint on all horizontal surfaces is eroding. An inspection was made by a professional who is an expert in paint application. Since the car was purchased used he checked for prior damage and any re-painting. None was apparent. His instruments measured the paint thickness and other findings. His conclusion was poor clear coating at the manufacturer level. Pictures and documentation will be sent to Mitsubishi. Local dealer said tuff-luck warranty elapsed. Looks to me as an up-hill battle. After all I'm just a customer who has definitive proof of a case which goes beyond "Warranty" and falls into Poor Paint Application at the Manufacturing Stage. Thank You.
