Galant 4-cyl

  • Automatic transmission
  • 8,800 miles
I have a 2006 Mitsubishi Galant and have had it in the shop repeatedly for the front suspension, brakes, electrical problems and now I'm having transmission problems and lots of engine noise. My front suspension has a squawking sound everytime you go over a speed bump, the whole front end has been rebuilt but it is still doing the same thing. This started at about 8,800 miles and there is now 23,000 and the dealership is telling me there is nothing wrong my brakes have been squeaking since about 8,800 miles also and they have replaced my front pads since there was a tech bulletin placed and yet this has still not fixed the squeaking. My engine idle fluctuates while sitting in drive and my engine has a loud start up sound almost like there is an exhaust leak but there is not. My transmission when first shifted into reverse stutters as I pull out of my driveway and when in drive you can feel the transmission stutter as long as the car is cold. My car also pulls to left within 4 seconds after not holding the steering wheel extremely tight and this started after they replaced the rack-in-pinion. I have a metal rattling sound coming from the front driver's side of the vehicle but when it is taken into the dealership they state that they could not produce the concern. Yet they have heard it before and had to replace all the springs and pins in the brakes. My tires have worn down dramatically on the outsides even though the correct amount of tire pressure is in the tires. There has not been a time when I have ever been less than 3 lbs under pressure.
