Since about 5000 miles on the odometer, there has been a very annoying rattle emanating from the passenger-side of the dashboard. It sounds to be coming from the passenger airbag compartment itself. I have yet to have my local Mitsubishi dealership look into this problem, but if it persists or gets worse, I certainly will.

I have owned a variety of vehicles over the last 20 years. Pick up trucks, coupes, sedans, station wagons, even a convertible. Anything from Ford to Toyota to Volvo. None of my past vehicles, some nearing the 200,000 mile mark, have had squeaks and rattles develop so soon in their life. The only notable exception being my last car, which was my first brand-new car, a 2012 Nissan Versa SV sedan. That car develop a myriad of squeaks and rattles starting at about 1000 miles. Apparently the newer cars are not built as well as the older ones.
