We were the original owners of this car. We bought it new with only about only 275 miles on the odometer. The clutch began to have problems at around 59,000 miles on this car and failed very close to 60,200 miles. Mitsubishi refused to tow our car so we had to cover that on our own dime. We had it towed to the Mitsubishi Dealership where we thought it would be covered under the power train warranty.
The Dealership told us it would be $2,000 to repair it and that the clutch was not covered under our power train warranty. $2,000 is a rip off for a clutch repair. We had the car towed to another repair shop that did it for under $1,000 but it also cost us $171 for the towing to get it to the other shop. Salt Lake Mitsubishi also charged us $125 to just look at the car and they fixed nothing. Thanks for nothing Salt Lake Mitsubishi.
The car got really good gasoline mileage (about 34 to 39 miles per gallon) but the seats were uncomfortable. It was an okay car but Salt Lake Mitsubishi really failed on customer service. I hope charging us $125 and refusing to tow our car was worth it. You likely lost a customer for life.
