I am wondering if any other 2021 Mitsubishi Mirage owners who are curious and a little pissed. I am taking my car to the dealership to have brakes replaced for the FOURTH time since I purchased it. I bought this car brand new in Sept 2021. It is Oct 2024, and I should not keep having to put brakes on this car!!
May 2, 2022 -The first time I HAD to take it to the dealership because NO parts store even had brake pads for a car that was just manufactured 8 months prior and none of the previous models' pads would fit. $295.00
July 2023 - A little more than a year later, I hear the squeaking and subsequent scrub of brakes going bad AGAIN...back to the dealership - $350.00 to replace brake pads & rotors - front and back this time
April 2024 - brakes squeaking, scrubbing ... I know the drill by now but I do not have another 200-300 dollars to keep doing the same thing!! I find a mechanic outside of the dealership and now I can buy the pads from the auto parts store. The repair to replace the pads this time was about $150 including labor.
Oct 2024 - I am having to get rides to and from work because the brakes are METAL on METAL scrubbing. This is F'ING ridiculous!!
There HAS to be SOMETHING wrong with this manufacturing period OR something wrong with the way they did my model!!
Had to replace brakes 3 times in 3yrs
