On the morning of May 2, while it was raining a car that was two cars in front of my wife decided to make a left turn on the highway without any advanced notice; my wife ends up running into the car in front of her and seriously damaging the front of the car. The airbags, however did not deploy. My wife suffered a contusion on her head. My 17 month old daughter was also in the car but was not seriously hurt. My insurance company estimates that the repairs will cost $8000 and the sensors for the airbags was one of the parts that needed to be repaired. The sensor is currently being replaced.

The contact's vehicle was involved in a three car collision. Upon impact, the air bags did not deploy. The front end of the vehicle was damaged. The vehicle was towed to the mechanic, and he determined that the wire for the sensor was torn. This should have made the airbags deploy. A police report taken at the scene.
