ABS pump motor ECU, causes multiple lights to come on the dash for an abs internal pump motor failure and over time kills the battery slowly as well. The check abs hydraulic ecu unit was approx $2000.00 and on back order from Japan through Mitsubishi, and obviously if the replacement hydraulic abs unit is on back order, Mitsubishi knows there's a clear issue and a recall should be filed and announced.

I love the Outlander V6 and plan on keeping for long time, but I hope the problem gets enough attention from the NTSB's and Mitsubishi does what's right by its loyal customers.

The ABS pump failure is the only major issue I've ever had with all of my family's previous Mitsubishi vehicles they've owned. My 2010 Outlander's ABS pump failed. ASC, ABS, and service engine lights came on. Reed dealership (where I bought it) checked codes and JeremyFranklin Mitsubishi dealership (both dealerships in Kansas City) checked to confirm...ABS was non-responsive. Will cost $2200+tax to repair. I'm thinking maybe I should've bought extended warranty...but then again, paying for warranty sometimes end up costing more than cost of repairs... I hope the new ABS pump lasts a long time...I really like the Outlander and hope to keep it for another 10 yrs.
