The contact owns a 2010 Mitsubishi Outlander. While driving approximately 55 mph, the steering wheel seized without warning. The vehicle was towed to the dealer but was not diagnosed or repaired. The failure occurred only after the vehicle was serviced under NHTSA campaign id number: 14V366000 (steering) however, the remedy was failed to prevent the failure. The dealer declined to service the vehicle under the recall remedy a second time. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 8,500.
