problem #1

Dec 132017

Outlander SE 2.4L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 18,641 miles

On the scheduled service (30.000KM) I booked an appointment to do the necessary checkup. The service center told me that there are some vehicles facing a vibration in the motor, and a software update will solve the problem. Although I did not have this issue, the issue occurred after they did the software update. I went back to the center in order to resolve this issue, and they did a rollback to the software update and they did a reset. The problem was 60% solved but still I am facing randomly the same motor vibration between (1000 and 1500 RPM), I contacted them again, and they blame the fuel that I am using. Please note that I have been filling my tank from the same station even before the incident, and I did not have any problem before the software update.

Desirable resolution:

1- The center should be fully responsible for the damaged caused to my car, and they should fix it for FREE , especially that a lot of the time is lost during these many times at the service by renting a car, and taking annual leave from my job.

2- I was so happy with my Outlander until this 30.000KM Service , from that time , my car is not as it used to be ..and this is bad .

Thank You.
