While Android Auto seems like a step in the right direction. It definitely has a far way to go before it is useful and at this point it is more of a hindrance than anything else, because it causes so many issues. It does not support most of the apps I use and since it is expected to be used as your navigation there is no navigation in the car although it does have GPS. Whose bright idea was it to put GPS on a car and have no navigation system? If you try to use the voice to text feature ,it starts recording before it has finished giving it’s instructions, so every message starts with, “What’s the message…†So if anybody is on the fence about the Android Auto interface, you might want to think long and hard about it. I wish I had.
