This has happened three times. Outside temps in mid 30's. Start 2018 Outlander SEL set heating system temp to HI and system in auto. Because of outside temp and car being cold no blower. Drive car about 3/10 0f a mile blower starts on low and then loud noise behind dash. Sounds like a small electric motor that is jammed and under labor. Does this for a couple minutes and then stops. This only happens when cold outside. Informed dealer but we agreed to wait till cold weather is more consistent to make trouble shooting easier for tech. unless of course it becomes more prominent.
Update from Mar 2, 2020: At 14,106 it was determined that the noise was coming from the cooling fan inside of the touch screen/audio head unit. There is a small fan inside of the unit same as what is in many computers. This noise/condition only happened when it was around 32 degrees F or lower. The colder it was the prominent the noise was. So far so good.
