I took my new bought car to the Dealer I bought it at with 5000 miles and told the service desk of its issue. I called the dealer at 2000 miles to complain but they knew of the issue but they said there was no cure for it at that time. I was not concerned of the transmission blowing up or just stop working, but I am very concerned of the gas mileage that I am not getting, due to being at a much higher RPM. If I let off on the gas pedal, it most of the time goes all the way into high range, but not all the time. If I wanted to buy a standard shift car I would have bought one. I owned a 2013 Outlander and had the same issue and they did a update to the computer.

I'm very disappointed in the lack of shifting of this transmission. As I see the tachometer going up and up I have to "punch it" to get it to shift. I don't like that because of this, I get lousy gas mileage. I thought by getting a newer car I wouldn't have to deal with this crap. Hoping this thing is still under warranty so I wont get fleeced! Never again buy a Mitsubishi car again!
