cvt fluid leak cvt fluid leak

Car started to become slower to react, couldn't accelerate properly. Eventually, the CVT started to "scream" (whine very loudly) and the car couldn't accelerate almost at all. Checked the CVT fluid levels and it was empty. Adding CVT fluid and the CVT acted normal again. Discovered that a CVT Fluid Coolant Hose had come lose, and was leaking fluid. Opened the pan and changed filters, and everything looked fine.

Searched the internet, and this is a common issue with CVTs from Nissan (same CVT manufacturer). It is due to extremely unreliable and cheap clamps used by the manufacturer. Even after service, they tend to get lose again. People permanently solves this by getting normal spring clamps that screws into place.

The dealership changed the hose and clamps under standard warranty.
