Outlander Sport 2.4L Dohc

The fuel-injected engine flooded. This has happened on and off throughout the years and seems completely random, and I think only happens in the warmer months. I go to start the engine, and it won't start. I found the trick is to put the accelerator pedal all the way to the floor and then start.
