seat heater shuts off when set to high

Took car to dealer because when the passenger seat heater was set on high, it only heated a few minutes then went off. Dealer replaced seat. When that did not solve the problem, Mitsubishi dealer contacted engineering and was told the seat heater is designed to only heat on high temporarily and then must be switched to low. This is the third vehicle I have owned with seat heaters and none of them worked this way. (Chevrolet and Jeep)

Dealer certified Mitsubishi mechanic was clueless.
