About These NHTSA Complaints:
The NHTSA is the US gov't agency tasked with vehicle safety. Complaints can be spread across multiple & redundant categories, & are not organized by problem. See the Back button — blue bar at the very top of the page — to explore more.
The car at 28,241 needed a drive belt, new clutch and flywheel. Keep up with all required maintenance and know how to drive cars with clutches (35 years). Geico sent representative to inspect the car and noted that it was not the normal wear and tear for this car and agree to repair it. This was after I call Nissan regional Consumer Affairs office and they offer to do nothing. Kristen found out that my insurance company took care the repairs and only offered to see the invoice after I suggested they paid the deductibles. So far no answer. An investigation should be done on the problems of listed above. Next, airbag was listed.

My 2004 Nissan 350Z with 36,000 miles uses one quart of oil every 500 miles. My factory powertrain warranty expired January 31, 2009 (34 days ago). Nissan is not illing to 'goodwill' my complaint even though the vehicle is 14,000 miles below the factory mileage warranty of 50,000 miles and the fact that this issues began months before January 31, 2008.

I live in Alaska and Nissan 350Z does not start and/or want to start in any weather under 10 degrees. The car door will not close, and gas cap does not want to open. The car has been prepared for winter.

I purchased a 2004 Nissan 350Z touring model in July 2004 and have put approximately 10,000 miles on it since then. The car ran out of oil in the first 5,000 miles. Since then, I have had to add, on average, around 2 to 3 quarts of oil every 3,000 miles. Several dealers insist that this is normal. My local dealer finally began a oil consumption test and noticed the car needed 3 to 4 quarts of oil after 2,000 miles. The dealer called Nissan and Nissan said that this was a known issue with the PCV valve. Nissan advised the dealer to replace the valve gaskets. I am concerned that permanent damage has already been done to the engine.
