The contact owns a 2006 Nissan 350Z. The contact stated that the air bag warning indicator illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the pearson Nissan dealer where it was diagnosed that the failure was due to the air bag modules. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure recurred. The failure recurred and was repaired twice a year for the past seven years. The manufacturer was notified, but did not assist. The failure mileage was approximately 45,532.

I recently bought a used vehicle at Norfolk motorsports in Norfolk va. They had bought the vehicle thru inspection and it did not pass it, according to the manager, it was missing the air bag on the passenger and they was going to buy the whole component for it instead. I had a meeting with the owner of the company along with the manager, salesperson; the owner had stated to me and my fianc at the time that he could have easily clipped the wire to the seat and it would pass inspection. About two weeks later I finally received the vehicle and now the passenger air bag light is showing that its on "off", to me, this indicates that they tripped the wire to let it pass inspection. I also believe that they tripped the wires for the tires lights on it. I had asked for money back but would not give it to me since it is considered a "lemon". they are only willing to give me a trade-in instead. Till this day I still have not received the title because at the time of sale they told me I had to call the day before and their administrative personnel would give it to me. They have been giving the run-around on this vehicle that I have paid in cash for. They now want to me to purchase another vehicle that is the" engine service light", along with another light about the tires. I am afraid they will also trip the wires on that vehicle so it will pass inspection. They trying to force my hand into something that I do not want instead of giving my cash back that I gave to them from the bank.

The date is when I received my car from the body shop after 3-car wreck. Drove it to work and the car had no power to climb a hill. Called insurance company, took it back they did no repairs to the engine, so it went to the dealership. Shortly afterwards the car wasn't downshifting properly, then it started making a sound like it was stuck in a spin cycle and shoot out causing the car to go faster. Took it back to the dealership nothing. So with the car doing the spin cycle and shooting out fast, it started making this thumping noise from under the hood when coming to a stop. This was so frequent I thought the engine was about drop out, so I took it to transmission shop; they found a code for an electrical solenoid and reset it. I was instructed to take it to the dealership if it happens again. A week later it did but all the time. Took the car back to the dealership, this time they witness the problem and called the corporation tech's; who recommended to replace idle relearn and odometer cluster (miles off). They were replaced but my check engine light came on, insurance company sent a third party inspector out. He found out that the transmission and engine are bad and is not related to the accident. I called Nissan corporation received a claim number, a month later they called to say they are not going to pay for the repairs. I asked the dealership to checkout my parking brake because the light for it didn't come on with the old odometer cluster because I drove my car home from their shop and it was engaged but nothing indicating that it was. My airbags did not explode from the wreck either and also the car tires will not maintain the proper air pressure. Had to get my oil recheck several times after getting the oil changed. The car is unsafe to drive here in Hawaii with all this traffic, still at the dealership. I have the report from the inspector if you want it.

I own a 2006 Nissan 350Z roadster. The passenger airbag indicator light came on blinking none stop. The symptom is similar to the Nissan 2007 and 2008 model described in the NHTSA recall bulletin. I want to know if the recall can be expanded to include older models?

Driving home only 1/8 mile from my house, I collided head on with a small pick-up truck. My Nissan 350 car spun several times and came to rest. Most of the damage was to the driver side and front end. Front bumper completely gone. Driver side headlight completely gone, passenger side intact. Driver side door can only open a few inches, passenger side-fine. Driver side windshield cracked due to hood being pushed back into car, passenger side-fine. My concern and major complaint is that while my passenger side air bag deployed, the driver side nor the driver side air bags deployed. Had I been traveling at higher speeds or not wearing my seat belt and my air bag did not deploy, I could have seriously been hurt due to this, what I feel to be a, malfunction. To add, I had a 2004 Nissan 350Z previously in which I had gently hit a curb, front, driver side and my side air bag deployed immediately. For the accident and the significant more damage that just occurred, there is no way that the air bags should not have deployed. I see similar complaints researching this and I am greatly concerned.
