This beautiful red 350 Z has developed dozens of tiny paint defects over the hood down to the white undercoating. It looks like there may have been dust particles on the surface at the time of painting. The company says this was caused by"road debris" and will not evaluate it further. The vehicle has been impeckably cared for, garaged and not driven where any unusual "road debris' would have been encountered. The distribution of the defects is also inconsistant with impact damage.

my 2008 RED roadster with 1000 miles began getting red paint defects in the hood and front fenders. Dealer says paint chips from road chips. Even if that is true, a new car should not chip so easily. My 1984 vette has NO CHIPS and has 130000 miles. Chips all over down to the white primer. There is DEFINITELY a problem with the softness or lack of hardness and durability of the red paint. I don't see this on the other colors in the dealer lot.
