The contact owns a 2005 Nissan Altima. The radio and cd player began working intermittently and then stopped working entirely. When the contact took the vehicle to the dealer, she was advised to go to another repair shop. She was informed that the fee to repair the radio and cd player would be free; however, she was charged $185.44. The contact took the vehicle to Nissan and they were equipped to perform the repair, but the dealer from where the vehicle was purchased, has yet to diagnose the failure. They could only inform her that the failure was internal. The powertrain and failure mileage were unknown. The current mileage was 47,135. Updated 3/5/08 the dealer stated rear window operates really slow, and pillar/roof keeps coming a loose. Updated 03/05/08

I own a 2005 Nissan Altima and within 3 months of the purchase of the vehicle in 2005 the weatherstipping or molding on the roof on the exterior of the car had come off. While driving on the freeway I heard a sound similar to a banging on the roof. The molding was hitting the top of the car causing minor damage to the paint on the roof. I took it back to be fixed, and I assumed it was glued back on. After waiting a day to pick up the car from the dealership I was driving home and the weatherstripping came off again. I took it back and they fixed it again. I recently took the car to a car wash and when I got the car back I noticed the molding had come off again, and this time, the molding was totally bent out of shape, and it looksedterrible. I plan to take it back to the dealership again this week.
