Altima S 2.5L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 125,000 miles

When I turn on the turn indicator it toggles the trip between TRIP A and TRIP B in the odometer instead of flashing the turn indicator led's in the dash. Last night I tried changing the fuse and didn't touch anything else and morning I had this problem. I checked the fuse diagram and everything looks good according to the diagram, I checked more than 5 times. I tried switching the fuses still the same. Is there any electrical short circuit that is causing this?

Altima SE V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 90,000 miles

This problem has happened numerous times that I don't remember how many times and when. The automatic locks don't work, the driver's side seat doesn't move and my windows won't go down. On top of that the ac plug in the console has never worked. I have the extended warranty because I bought the car used 2.5 years ago, but to even get someone to diagnose the issue it's over a $100 bucks and my deductible is $100. I'm unemployed at the time and my car's safety inspection has been rejected because the window, driver's side, doesn't come down. I have two weeks to fix the problem.

Altima S

  • Automatic transmission
  • 77,000 miles

First, driver seat won't go back. $350 to fix. Now, recliner won't work. A week later, windows and door locks stop working. What a piece of junk. I will NEVER own another Nissan. Dealer is a crook and has no clue what to do with it.

Altima SL 2.5L 4 cyl

  • Automatic transmission
  • 65,000 miles

All of the interior lights (dome, map, and door) along with the sunroof controls went out. I played with a few fuses and replaced them only to figure out that they were not the cause. Fortunately, the car was still under the extended warranty and I only had to pay $50 deductible. Nissan repaired the wiring (harness I think they called it) and replaced the sunroof motor which died, probably a result of the wiring. This all happened at the same time that my car shut off and wouldn't crank which I am reporting as a separate problem.

First the they say that the IPDM went out, but replacing that didn't finish the job. They had to replace the body electrical control module... which still didn't fix everything. So they had to trouble shoot the rest..at $593 LABOR CHARGE!!!

I am getting rid of this car... I drive too much to have this kind of problem. Oh yah, Battery went dead two days later...Funny...not really...4 days later there's a thumping noise that we think is cv gone bad..Good thing I just bought a HONDA! Will NEVER buy another NISSAN.. was my first and last new Nissan.....My son loves the old ones 240sx to drift in. Personally not for me!
