when I took it back to the shop the guy had promised to replace the sunroof again if I had the problem again. Of course when I went back because the sunroof wouldn't close AGAIN he had a case of amnesia and didn't remember telling me that. I believe he realized it wasn't the sunroof and it was my car's electrical system. I am so annoyed with this car.

Again the sunroof would not close; only this time I could close it enough that I could stick a towel in it to keep from getting rain in my car. I took it back to the shop where I had it replaced when I first had the problem a year ago and he said the motor needed to be "reset". I had NEVER heard of that before. So the guy tells me if it happens again that I would get a new one for free; sunroof.

Why would the sunroof motor need replacing on an 05 Altima? I used the roof maybe ten times in five years. That cost me $100 per opening. Factory flaw? Bad design/engineering? What recourse do I have with Nissan? Is there a history of these motors expiring after so little time? I would appreciate any feedback on this problem. Thanks.
