I BEEN TO NISSAN COMPLAINING ABOUT WHAT I HEARD OR FELT IN MY CAR ..THEY BLEW ME OFF LIKE A BAD RASH..NOT ONE TIME BUT MANY. ESPECIALLY WHEN I WENT TO GET AN OIL CHANGE ..SO DURING ALL THESE TIMES I HAD LOW MILES ON MY CAR ...JUST LIKE MOST DEALERSHIPS DO, THEY WAIT TILL WARRANTY IS RUN OUT AND THEN THEY CAN FIND A PROBLEM. WELL, I GOT TIRED OF HEARING THEIR LIES AND TELLING ME ITS NOTHING. I FELT LIKE I WAS TOLD THAT BECAUSE I AM A WOMAN AND I WOULD JUST DRIVE IT AND GO ON ...I HAD IT FIXED AT A DIFFERENT LOCATION ...... TODAY I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW IF NISSAN ALTIMA HAD ISSUES WITH MOTOR MOUNTS OR ANYTHING ELSE WHY I WASN'T NOTIFIED AND WOULD LIKE A REFUND IF POSSIBLE.... THANK YOU

I had the 2006 Nissan Altima into four auto repair places before it was determined the engine sound was from a motor mount. The cost from the auto repair shop charged me $142.95 for the part.
I later learned after doing some research that a parts store within 500 feet of the repair shop charges $97.99 for the part.Further internet surfing I learned that Nissan Altima's were known for having a common problem with the motor mounts going bad and in spite of the large number of complaints and it being a common problem, there was no recall so I had no course of action to pursue.
If you search the internet for the ten most common problems with Nissan Altimas you will see that motor mounts is one of the top ten problems associated with Nissan Altimas beside another problem I had with the catalytic converter consistently displaying the service engine soon light. I also had the entire flooring on driver front and passenger rust completely out requiring me to have a body shop re-weld a new floor in the vehicle which cost $1000.
I am not happy with Nissan and because of these problems do not plan to purchase any Nissan vehicles in the future. I'm very disappointed especially when I first bought the car and the salesman told me I had to pay a $500 advertising fee because Nissan is a foreign made car and I am responsible for the USA advertising fee. Fortunately when I brought my concerns to the Manager he admitted there is no such fee and the salesman was just trying to get my purchase price up to where the Manager would allow the car to be purchased. We split the difference so he could make something on the vehicle and he offered about 5 free oil changes to complete the sale. Because he was an honest manager after his salesman did something unethical I still decided to purchase the vehicle. Never again though.

this is a common problem that I'm sure nissan is aware of, yet refuses to acknowledge

From what I am seeing on the web this is a known problem. Why should a motor mount go bad. Nissan should pay the cost

All 4 motor mounts have failed. I purchased a Nissan because of the dependability and this is a real pain in the ass.
