Steering column lock failure; exact same part as is covered under the recall for the Infiniti, 2009 Altima, Maxima, GTR and 370Z. Why doesn't Nissan accept responsibility for the same defective parts that fail in exactly the same manner with the same frequency rendering the vehicles completely immobilized wherever they happen to be when the failure occurs. The inconvenience, expense and danger of being stranded is a cost borne by hapless owners of Nissans, wherever they are. I am frustrated by this lemon, it would be more cost effective for me to commute in a helicopter.

Same problematic part was used in several Nissan vehicles,no recall was done save for the2009 Altima and some 370zndGT-R's. Unbelievable, Nissan dealers are awful. My car has been immobilized by a known defective part yet there is no resolution offered as was offered for the 2009. Poor attitude. Beware anyone seeking any assistance from Nissan-you have been warned.

Car completely locked. I can't even lock the doors from the inside of the car.
