I drive the highway everyday and I started to go to work and had my defroster on high but they didn't defrost hardly anything. My side windows were all fogged up. I couldn't see to lane change I was sooo pissed I went right to the dealership that I bought it from and showed them. He said with the new cars they are air tight that when you have your floor mats that are wet this will cause moisture inside the car and then the windows will fog up. He told me to crack them a little at night to let the moisture out. I tried this a couple of times and I did change my mats to the rubber ones and have seen some improvement but I think the heating and defrost of the side windows in these cars are junk. Not very impressed.
Update from Mar 27, 2011: This is Kathy again. Well I ended up trading the Nissan in after only a little over a year of ownership. The car was in the shop 3 more times after this and the dealership couldn't find anything wrong why the windows fogged up. I bought a lemon!! I truly believe something was not hooked up correctly when they built this car. Like the defrost was circulating correctly?? I never had a car do this too me before. I know all cars fog but all the other cars I have owned could easily defrost itself. I now have a Honda Accord Coupe and love it!! And it CAN defrost itself easily!!! :-) Good Bye Nissan Hello Honda!!! Also I did a car fax on this car and found the orginal owner did not keep it very long either probably the same problem I had and got rid of the pc of junk.
