This problem may be covered under warranty. Ask your Nissan dealer.
Center console latch doesn't work properly. It doesn't catch the top tray like it was designed to. Not fixed yet, I've had this car to the dealership 5 times in a year for its chronic issues, and I just haven't gotten to having them fix this problem yet.

The middle console will only open the top, regardless of which "tab" you choose (large bucket or small).

Well the separating latches do not work properly, no matter which latch I use it will only open one unless i separate with both hands!

Console latch is supposed to open up to the top or bottom compartment depending which side you depress. Both sides will only give acces to the top compartment unless the latches are forced to separate.

THIS IS ONE OF 17 RECALLS ON OUR 2013 NISSAN ALTMA. PURCHASED THE VEHICLE ON JULY 10, 2012, RECD CALL FROM DEALER ON AUG 10, 2012. WANTED US TO SWAP CARS BUT WOULD NOT TELL US WHAT WAS WRONG WITH OUR CAR. CALLED CORPORATE THEY FOUND OUT IT WAS AN OPEN CAMPAIGN ON THE VEH. WITH 1 POSSIBLE RECALL. AFTER WE TOOK THE VEHICLE IN FOR REPAIR, WE WERE TOLD THERE ARE 17 RECALLS AND/OR ISSUES ON THE VEH. THE CAR HAD 65 MILES ON IT WHEN WE PURCHASED IT. WE CURRENTLY HAVE 1569 ON IT. CANT DRIVE IT BECAUSE WE DON'T FEEL IT IS SAFE, NISSAN WONT BUY VEH. BACK.

It annoys me every time I open the console. I keep telling myself to report it when I take my car in, but I forget until I try to open it. What a pain! Something that should take one hand, takes two to open.
