Piece of junk! The whole under body of my car is rusty and the car isn’t even that old. A 2013 shouldn’t be falling apart n rusting this bad. So I was hearing a annoying vibrating rattling noise when my car would idle at stop lights n what not. Had my buddy look to see what it was. He freaked out about all the rust and seen the heat shield hanging so he took it off. Solved the vibration sound, but now I’m without a shield. Not good!

Appears to be a problem with all generations of Atima starting from 3rd. My 3rd generation Altima has it where welds on exhaust shield fail after sometime. The 4th Gen Altima had this issue but I sold the car soon after. Now the 5th gen has the same issue. With broken welds, the shield rattles while accelerating the car. Thank goodness it happened while under warranty and got fixed by the dealer.
