problem #1

Mar 012013

Altima SL 2.5L

  • CVT transmission
  • 1,000 miles

The problem in the front end started early on but got progressively worse over time. I took the car in and the warranty department first claimed they did not notice any problem but once it got really bad they did say it was the ball joint and replaced. I got the car back and by the time I got home the noise was back. It took 3 weeks to get the car back in (lack of response from service tech), took it back and they said they had to order the struts so I had to drive it like that for another 2 weeks! Finally the part came in and they replaced the strut, at this point I was at 34K miles, the clunking noise was finally gone!

My car is now at 37K miles and the noise is coming back!!!!!!!! I am out of warranty and I now will have to get Nissan to cover the repair again or pay out of pocket for the strut!! I am not happy and will get rid of this car as soon as I can!!!
